Recently, a professor at Bordeaux University, Zymurgy Dept. identified that the potential aroma of Koshu grape is derived from some precursors (origin of aroma) of 3MH (3-mercapto hexanol).  The aroma is an element which generate distinctive aroma of grapefruit as in sauvignon blanc.

Our wine gARUGA BRANCA ISSEHARAh which is made from Koshu grapes harvested from our Issehara vineyard shows distinctive characteristic of 3-MH.  For its rich fragrance and structure, no wine ever can come close to Aruga Branca Issehara. We have succeeded in expressing the characteristic fragrance which arises from this delicate wine through strict quality control in the wine making process.
