(1) The sparse planting of grapes vines in advanced wine producing nations is prohibited.

While 300~800 grape trees are usually planted per 10 Ares in a fence cultivation, in the Japanese trellis-type cultivation for table grapes, 10~20 trees are planted per 10 Ares. The concept of a good harvest in the Japanese grape growing industry is based on the unit crop yields.
Therefore, sparse growing used to be a common practice which prioritized quantity over quality.
In contrast to this, we had the courage to select an unprecedented dense planting method, and improved the grape bunch and grain picking method in order to bring out the potential of a grape bunch.

(2) Although it has been thought that "Koshu grapes" would not grow on a fence, we would like to take up the challenge of developing a fence cultivation method and test its effects.


It had not been possible to pursue the above two challenges until now due to the old fashioned local grape growing practices.
